Public consultation on the draft set of Digital Dispute Resolution Rules
On behalf of the UK Jurisdiction Taskforce , we are pleased to invite you to a public consultation on a draft set of Digital Dispute Resolution Rules (DDRR).

The draft Rules have been produced by a small drafting team, led by David Quest QC and Lawrence Akka QC. The purpose of the Rules is to facilitate the rapid and cost-effective resolution of commercial disputes, particularly those involving novel technologies.

The draft Rules will shortly be published on the Tech Nation website, a link to which will be circulated when it is available.

The webinar will provide an opportunity to hear from the drafting team and post questions to the speakers.

The purpose of this consultation event is to consider:
• Whether there is a need for or advantage in a new arbitral process aimed at facilitating the rapid, informal and cost-effective resolution of disputes arising out of novel digital technologies?
• Whether the process described by the draft Rules meets that need?
• And if not, why?

Our intention is to then publish the final Rules in March.
